M/Y Eric, Flamingo I, and Letty are yachts with identical characteristics. Outfitted in 1990, this fleet of three 20-passenger first class motor-yachts are 83' long with 24' beams each and exclusively custom-designed for Galapagos excursions, with spacious accommodations for small groups.
Polished teak wood interior features: Fully air-conditioned cabins, public spaces, dining room, well-stocked bar, conference area with television, VCR, stereo cassette/CD equipment, and book and video library. The upper two decks are surrounded by picture windows for excellent panoramic views of the Islands and there are also open areas for outside viewing, including a sun deck with chairs and recliners.
A seasoned captain, eight dedicated crew members, and two experienced English-speaking naturalist guides attend to you during your entire Galapagos cruise. Each naturalist guide takes a group of no more than 10 passengers on the shore excursions and shares his extensive knowledge about the Island’s diverse wildlife with you. Small wooden boats, locally called pangas, ferry passengers to shore for Island visits.
