Hi, can anyone let know if they've heard anything (good/bad) about the Coral I boat? My friends and I are planning to go this August and are ready to book now (didn't have much notice for planning!). Before we do, I thought I'll ask to see if any of you have any experiences/heard anything about this boat.
Thanks |

We returned from Galapagos 10 days ago. Our 5-day cruise was on board "Coral I." It's small but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Every evening after dinner all passengers had a spectacular show right near the boat: sea lions chasing flying fish, sharks slowly moving around the boat right below the floating pelicans that didn't seem to care. Were the boat any taller, it would not be that amazing. I felt seasick the first night only and never again after that. The crew and our guide Rafael were excellent, very helpful and enthusiastic. I'm not a big snorkeling pro, but I loved to snorkel with sharks and sea lions. My husband, being a way better swimmer, even got close to sea turtles and sting rays. Giant turtles looked ancient and, to me, symbolized eternity itself. The whole Galapagos trip now seems like a brief visit to some utopian kingdom of undisturbed animals and unique landscapes.
