Hi,

I realize our plans buck the trend for most travelers to the Galapagos Islands but rather than spending our week in April on a cramped and noisy boat we are opting to stay on Santa Cruz.

By doing so we realize we may miss some of the islands which we would visit if we took the cruise option. Beyond the typical day trips to the nearby islands available at most hotels are there longer trips avialble to allow you to see the outer islands and still return to your hotel at night? What about flying trips with small planes?

If you don`t want to miss any Island, I would definetely recommend take a Cruise on a Boat.

I stayed in Puerot Ayora in Santa Cruz, and tried to do the day trips, but you can´t get to far away islands like Isabella or Fernandina, which are among the most beautiful.

I made the boat trip (7 nights) and despite the fact that you have to adjust your schedule to the tour, is the best way to tour the island and get to visit all the most importants. About small plane tours, i dont think that's available in Galapagos. Take into account it a National Park, a unique mankind traesure, so everything is restricted.

At the end of your trip, i recommed stop just a couples of day in my city Guayaquil. Most of airline stop in Guayaquil before going to Galapagos.
