We are thinking of visiting the Galapogos Islands next April, has anyone travelled on the Eclipse? If so can you let me know the good the bad or the indifferent?
Is two nights in Quito on the way out about right, we are thinking of stopping over in Miami as well - any thoughts views!
Thanks. |

The Eclipse is one of the nicer boats in the Galapagos Islands. The owners run a tight ship. The guides are amongst the most knowledgeable in the Islands. Plus it has one of the best itineraries. Cabins are spacious with private bathrooms and hot water. I can tell you all this because I have a cruise operator in Ecuador. Quito is a beautiful city, you will enjoy your time here. Just make sure you get to see the downtown area and the Equator line (if you do the Equator dont leave out the Inti Ņan solar museum - your guide will know). A great hotel in downtown Quito is the Patio Andaluz, a true gem. If you need the contact info for booking the Eclipse, let me know.
Good luck |
