| I would definitely recommend a visit to Isabella... I was there over the summer for about 3 days, I just went on a short trip from Santa Cruz. From Puerta Ayora in Santa Cruz, you can get a boat no problem (leaving daily at 2 I believe, I think its about 30 dollars each way). The crossing takes about three hours although can get a bit bumpy... once you get to Isabella, definitely don't miss the volcano tour and the bike ride to the "Wall of Tears". I found Isabella really different from Santa Cruz, just because it's much less populated, a lot more peaceful.. on the other hand there's not much of a night-life it that's what you're looking for (although Beto's bar on the beach is really cool!). Unfortunately I wasn't there for that long so can't really recommend much else! Hope that helps somewhat though, try me with any other questions you want (I was in Puerta Ayora for 2 months over the summer so could definitely tell you more about what to do there!) |
