Hotel Chatham
Hotel Chatham is situated on the corner of Avenida Armada Nacional and Avenida Alsacio Northia. Home to thirty four rooms, this place attracts tour groups who receive discounts at the restaurant for large bookings.
Through the main entrance is a big courtyard with hammocks hanging from the trees in all directions. Faded chairs sit at tables with umbrellas and tiny pink flowers sway on sun-parched bushes, attempting to add colour to the rather bland environment. To the right is a characterless restaurant area with several tables where guests can choose to eat.
Around the courtyard are fourteen very basic rooms with fans. All of the rooms here are clean, have private bathrooms with hot water, T.Vs and towels and soap are provided.
At the back of the hotel are some newer rooms with tiled floors and bathrooms. These seem a lot more modern and brighter. Some have fridges filled with beers, alcohol and soft drinks that can be consumed by the guests and paid for later. Upstairs rooms all have air-conditioning.
