The most popular outlying Island to visit from San Cristobal is Espanola.  It’s English name means ‘hood’.  Here you will find the endemic Albatross, Galapagos Hawks, Finches, Lava Lizards, Marine Iguanas and a colony of sea-lions.  Along the Punta Suarez side you can find all kinds of sea birds nesting.  Along the north side is Gardner bay, where there is a long sandy beach along which you will find a colony of sea-lions and a gathering of Mockingbirds swarming on the sand. The trip involves snorkeling with white tip reef sharks and sea-lions.  Around 1000 Galapagos tortoises have been introduced to Espanola by the National Park so a trip here will also involve seeing these.
