Day 1

Baltra Island / Dragon Hill (Santa Cruz Island)

Morning arrival to Baltra and immediate transfer to the M/V Santa Cruz.  Afternoon disembarkation on north shore of Santa Cruz hosts Dragon Hill. A dinghy ride among mangrove-lined islets allows the observation of the dramatic landscape and coastline, an area of amazing past volcanic activity. While exploring the nearby waters, various types of birds can be seen, such as boobies, frigates, pelicans.  (BLD)

Day 2

Punta Espinoza (Fernandina) / Punta Vicente Roca (Isabela)

Sail to Fernandina Island and disembark at Punta Espinoza (dry landing), where marine iguanas can be found virtually everywhere. Follow a trail inland and see Flightless Cormorants, the serpent-necked birds who live without predator on the island. In the afternoon, you will travel to Punta Vicente Roca on Isabela Island, an island made up of six shield volcanoes. Take a dinghy-ride for another view of the island and see sea lions and sea-turtles before taking time for sightseeing or snorkeling. Though the water is rather cold, manta-rays, sting-rays, and even dolphins can sometimes be found in the bay. (BLD)

Day 3

Urbina Bay / Punta Moreno (Isabela Island)

Mexico is a place of contrasts, with tourist beach resorts with luxury hotels and Mayan culture, mysterious and once, all powerful, the best destination for the tourists.

Adventure Life

Urbina Bay went through a volcanic uplifting event back in 1954 leaving gaunt marine skeletons, which make the walk remarkably interesting, specially for understanding island colonization. This area is also home to large and very colorful Galapagos  land iguanas, and the famous giant tortoises from the population of Alcedo Volcano. Swimming and snorkeling will depend on local sea conditions. Punta Moreno (Western Isabela Island) is another sight of interest with lava fields and pioneer plants.

Day 4

Gardner Bay / Punta Suarez (Española Island)

Located on the northeastern coast of Hood, Gardner Bay provides an excellent beach for relaxing, swimming and an opportunity to observe sea lions. Punta Suarez is a rocky point of land sustains one of the most impressive and varied colonies of sea birds in the Galapagos. Along its southern shore, high cliffs rise up from the sea affording the visitor spectacular views of soaring birds and of the blow whole, where water spouts up to 50-75 feet into the air according to the intensity of the surf.

Transfer to the Baltra airport for your departure flight. (B)
